SO school is finally over!!!
in fact, today was my last day :peace:
but not only was today my last day... i also go to travel to new hampshire and see Ryan graduate!
that kid never fails to make me smile :blushes:

so i made sure to hand in all my research papers early [wednesday]
so i spent all of wednesday, thursday, and friday doing nothing
wednesday i made a hemp necklace for Ryans graduation present
and thursday and friday playing cards with heather and some other friends from school.

then today [friday] after playing cards, i left half way through the day to go home and get ready to go to NH. i spent almost 3 hours [which is weird because the ride back was like just about 2 hours] in a van full of 7 people, 4 of which were children ranging from 10 months to 13 yrs. old
and if you ask me i am pretty proud of myself because i never once got frustrated with Ryan's 10 month old brother who screamed half the time.

then we got there and went to the field that the graduation was at and it was extremely hot and i immediately regretted my choice of jeans and a long sleeve shirt. but then the sun kinda lowered itself behind the trees and it got much cooler- it was like, perfect.

afterwards we went to a thai restaurant which surprisingly, was actually really good :hungry:

as for me: in 2 weeks i graduate! :w00t:- [which he promised to take 2 days off for, so im gonna hold him to that!]
after which we [me, Ryan, Heather, and Dustin] are going out to breakfast/lunch and then going to my house for my graduation party  where it will be Ryan's turn to meet all of my family- since i've met all of his.

kayla is reaching 8 months of pregnancy so she will be very pregnant for my grad party =P
im excited to see all of my friends one last time. actually, the ones i invited i will definitely see again, i mean im going to be living with Heather and Dustin, Ryan ill see just because i will , Shelly is going to ACC too so it'll be easy to see her.. my friends that are juniors though- i may not get to see very much.

its been a very long 13 years- from kindergarten to senior: so many good times and some bad. junior and senior year though- ill probably remember forever.
its sad and a little scary but life is life and everyone has to grow up and move on. plus i know i can do it with the support of my family and friends

:spotlight-left: CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2008 :spotlight-right:

we start in elementary school, the days of recess and valentines day cards, the days when boys had cooties but we liked them anyway and santa clause still existed. we brought our lunches in lunch boxes and didnt have a care in the world. our idea of pain was a scratch on our knee that was magically fixed with a bandaid and some attention. our first quizzes, playgrounds and even a little homework. nap time, activity time, learning to read and write. then we make it to the end of 5th grade when its time to go to middle school and start all over again.
we had to take notes, make new friends, have our first boyfriend or girlfriend, and experience our first kiss followed by our first heartbreak. you had a new best friend each week and it wasnt cool to bring your own lunch anymore. tests, essays, DBQ's, our first dance. everything was dramatic, we turned into teenagers but we still thought we could all be famous. middle school was when we were still trying to figure out where we belonged and who we wanted to be and once we finished 8th grade, we go to high school and start all over again.
Our first biggest excitement was being able to wear hats, chew gum, and eat in the hallways. we had our first REAL relationships, and we met friends that we will keep in touch with for as long as possible and some may even find the person they are meant to be with forever (even if we met them by asking for a pen or randomly talking to them at the bus stop because our best friends weren't there that day and we were bored). friends might've moved away, and we learned to cope (or at least attempted to). and sometimes -if you're lucky- it will feel like everything, good and bad, happened for a reason. we know what we want and who we are, we have our own style and dont change from week to week. some go day to day with a carefree attitude and some will freak out over a 95% GPA. we might experiment and make stupid choices because; well, we are stupid teenagers. some will just do the opposite of whatever they are told simply out of spite or in an attempt to rebel. scholarships, awards, pep-rallys, and dances. SATs, ACTs, regents exams, stress. 10 page essays, presentations, speechs, reports, community service, and learning to stand up for ourselves. musicals, spanish night, job fairs, our first pay checks. varsity sports, driving to school, springfest, and t shirts that say "class of 2008". meeting someone who will change our lives forever, interviews, finals, research papers, 4 hours of homework, and sometimes detention. amazing teachers, awful teachers, and arguments ranging from love to politics. hugs, kisses, life changing moments and saying things we don't mean in words we probably shouldn't even know. trust, lust, promises, memories, love, and the butterflies we got in elementary school when we see our significant other and loving the way they look at us.
but now we have to grow up and apply for college and wait impatiently to get that acceptance letter we want so bad. expectations, acceptance, rejection... we are expected to know what we want to do for the rest of our lives. we make plans to get an apartment with our best friend and spend all our time talking about how awesome it will be. we make plans with our significant others and if we are really lucky, and are in love, we will figure out a way to make it work after high school is over. and everything starts falling into place; and then its time to graduate, walk across that stage, and throw our caps in the air.
some will go to college and some will go to work but either way:
we start all over again.
